NEWARK, Wis. -- A home in Rock County is considered a total loss after a fire in the Town of Newark on Sunday morning.
Several agencies responded to an address on W County Highway K at 9:30 a.m. for a residential fire. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and located a residential building fully engulfed in flames. The Rock County Sheriff's Office said this residence was not occupied nor had been an occupied residence prior to the fire.
Several fire agencies assisted the primary fire agency, the Town of Beloit Fire Department in extinguishing the fire.
The residence is deemed a total loss without displacing any families. At this time, the fire does not appear to be suspicious but is still under investigation by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of Beloit Fire Department.
