(FOX40.COM) — Gov. Gavin Newsom stated on Sunday in an 'X' post that he plans to sue President Donald Trump for sending 300 California National Guard members to Oregon, despite a judge blocking his order.

"We are taking this fight back to court," Newsom said in an 'X' post, after the Trump Administration continued deploying members of the California National Guard out of state to Portland, Oregon.
A federal court ordered that the Oregon National Guard be returned to state command after being deployed to the streets of Portland. The Trump Administration then sent the California National Guard in their place.
