ITV viewers fumed that a Beat the Chasers star was "robbed" after narrowly losing out on £75,000 with just one second to go.

A brand new series of the ITV quiz programme returned to screens this evening (October 5) for its seventh instalment.

As always, new participants face off against the intimidating chasers : Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan, and Darragh Ennis, all vying for a monetary reward.
