St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Grand Blanc offers support and hope for nearby LDS congregation attacked on Sept. 28.

On Sept. 28, the congregants at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Grand Blanc were attending Sunday morning services when they heard the wail of police sirens. Some went into the hallway and spotted through windows on the front door black plumes of smoke at a distance rising into the sky.

The service continued since they didn't know what was taking place, that the Grand Blanc Township chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) about a mile and a half away was under attack from a 40-year-old gunman who rammed his truck into it during services. They later went into lockdown as they realized there was a shooter at the other church.
