CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Cheatham County School District said one of its bus routes will be unavailable this week.

The district said in a post on Saturday that bus route 46 in south Cheatham County will not be running in the afternoon on Monday, Oct. 6, and all day on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

“Unfortunately, due to a temporary shortage of drivers this week, we will need your assistance in arranging alternate transportation for your child on those dates,” the district said.

Bus route 46 will be back on its regular schedule on Thursday, Oct. 9.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” the district said. " We understand how important reliable transportation is for our students and families."
