RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- North Carolinians who play the Powerball now have a new way to win as much as $10 million.

On Sunday, the North Carolina Education Lottery rolled out Powerball Double Play, which gives players a second chance to win cash prizes of up to $10 million.

That means players can win a prize in either the Powerball drawing or the Double Play drawing, or both.

"The N.C. Education Lottery is excited about giving our Powerball players a new way to win $10 million," said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the lottery. "It's always fun to give North Carolina more chances to win a life-changing prize."
