Umaria (MP), Oct 5 (PTI) A tiger was found dead at the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve (BTR) in Madhya Pradesh’s Umaria district, a forest official said on Sunday.

Sub-Divisional Officer (Forest) Bhura Gaikwad said a patrolling team on Saturday spotted the carcass of a tiger in compartment RF-610 of Salkhania beat in the BTR.

“The carcass was about five to six days old. Following a post-mortem, the carcass was disposed of. Viscera and other samples have been preserved and sent to the laboratory," he said.
