If first impressions matter in the world of NFL broadcasting, then rookie Eric Collins just might earn himself a quick promotion at Fox Sports.

Fox Sports had to shake up its broadcast teams this week, with play-by-play commentators Joe Davis and Adam Amin working the 2025 MLB postseason for the network. Davis usually works the No. 2 team with Greg Olsen, but Jason Benetti filled in for him in the Dallas Cowboys-New York Jets game.

So Eric Collins, who calls the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets on FanDuel Sports Network Southeast, was brought into the broadcast booth for the Carolina Panthers-Miami Dolphins early afternoon showdown:

And it didn’t take long for Collins to make a strong impression on NFL fans:
