Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate the first phase of the Patna Metro Rail Service today. The first phase of the approximately 3.6-kilometre-long elevated metro corridor has been named the Priority Corridor. In this phase, metro services will operate from the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) to Bhootnath Station. After a wait of six years, the first phase of the Patna Metro Rail Service is finally being inaugurated. The construction work for the metro rail project was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February 2019. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also travel on the route from the New Pataliputra Bus Terminal (ISBT) to Bhootnath Station.
