In a significant security operation, two powerful improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were discovered and rendered harmless in Manipur's Jiribam district, as reported by police on Monday.
The discovery followed intelligence inputs, prompting Assam Rifles personnel to conduct a search operation in Makha Basti, near the state boundary with Assam's Cachar district, on Sunday.
An official detailed that the IEDs weighed 12 kg, accompanied by three electric power sources and 12 meters of detonation cord, which were subsequently neutralized by the bomb disposal squad.
