New Delhi: India’s auto industry has seen an amazing surge in the festive demand, as was expecte,d coming with the GST 2.0. The vehicle makers, though, are facing two hindrances, in terms of shortage of trucks, trailers and rare earth magnets as reported by Times of India.

The situation has left automakers working against the clock to ensure customers get their vehicles around Dhanteras and Diwali. Car and two-wheeler sales have been aided by the GST cuts from September 22nd, with factories dispatching around 3.8 lakh units in September, a 5-6 per cent increase from last year. Retail sales, though, have soared much more, with a rise of around 25 per cent as customers are taking advantage of tax cuts, festive offers and the Navaratri timing.
