GHAZIABAD : On a quiet Saturday afternoon at Dasna Jail, two police constables arrived with a plan that seemed straight out of a crime thriller. Sachin Kumar and Rahul Kumar were not in uniform and drove up in a private car, carrying with them a bunch of papers that they claimed was a "court order". Their mission was to facilitate the release of two prisoners — Bijendra Singh and Vansh. Sachin, who joined the police force in 2015, and Rahul, who followed a year later, were both posted at the district police lines. On Saturday, they approached the jail authorities and claimed they needed to take Bijendra and Vansh to Noida for a court appearance.
