A rally is planned in Erie on Oct. 18 as part of the nationwide “No Kings” movement , opposing what organizers call the growing "authoritarian power grabs" of the President Donald Trump administration.

"President Trump has doubled down," organizers said in an online statement promoting the Oct. 18 protests.

"His administration is sending masked agents into our streets, terrorizing our communities. They are targeting immigrant families, profiling, arresting and detaining people without warrants. Threatening to overtake elections. Gutting healthcare, environmental protections and education when families need them most."
