Leh Oct 06: The Animal Husbandry Department Leh, marked World Animal Day 2025 with an event held on October 4, 2025, to emphasize the importance of animal welfare in the district. The program, held at conference hall of CAHO Leh, drew attention to the interconnectedness of animal health/ welfare and the planet’s sustainability, aligning with this year’s theme, “Save Animals, Save the Planet!”

The event was attended by Dr. Stanzin Rabgais, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Leh, along with departmental officers/ staffs, Representatives from Live to Rescue, Ms Nurzin, President, Semchan Welfare Society and its members, and Ms Diskit Angmo, Secretary, Chamba Animal Welfare Society.
