Rave Party in Telangana Leads to 65 Detentions, Including Minors

A recent raid by the Rajendranagar Special Operations Team (SOT) at a farmhouse in Moinabad, Ranga Reddy district, resulted in the detention of 65 individuals, including 22 minors, during an illegal rave party. The operation was initiated after police received tips about drug-related activities at the Oaks Farmhouse.

Upon arrival, officers found attendees engaging in intoxication. Among the detained, 12 were girls. The party was reportedly promoted through an Instagram account managed by a DJ from Hyderabad, with entry passes priced at Rs 1,600 for singles and Rs 2,800 for couples.

Following the raid, blood tests confirmed that at least two participants had consumed marijuana. The event's organiser, identified as Ishaan, is a second-year college student who returned to India from Canada in 2024. His father resides in Canada, and he is suspected of regular drug use. Police also confiscated 10 bottles of foreign liquor from the site.

A case has been registered under Section 27 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This incident follows a similar crackdown in August, where six individuals were arrested at a rave party in Hyderabad, leading to the seizure of various narcotics. The police continue to investigate the connections and activities surrounding these illegal gatherings.
