JALPAIGURI: BJP MP Khagen Murmu, a two-time parliamentarian from North Malda, sustained serious injuries after being attacked by locals while visiting flood-affected areas in North Bengal. The incident occurred as he was traveling to the Nagrakata area in Jalpaiguri’s Dooars region to oversee relief and rescue operations following heavy rains and landslides. According to eyewitnesses, stones were pelted at Murmu’s car, leaving him with severe head injuries.
