Voters in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties who plan to vote before Election Day have options for casting ballots in the Nov. 4 general election.
Early voting for all three counties begins Tuesday, Oct. 7, and concludes Sunday, Nov. 2. On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4, polls in all three counties will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Registration to vote early is available until Monday at 8 p.m.
Stephanie Penrose, Director of the Trumbull County Board of Elections, predicts a 20% voter turnout. "Unfortunately, these local races don't get the same turnout as the presidential or governor's races do," says Penrose.
However, she does expect some added interest in Cortland due to an additional levy on the ballot.
Penrose does expect an intense turnout for the election next yea
