DUBAI, Oct 6 (Reuters) – Iran received its first shipment of wheat from Caspian countries in three years, the head of the Mazandaran province's Grain and Commercial Services told the semi-official Tasnim news agency on Monday. "The first shipment of 30,000 tons of foreign wheat, weighing nearly 5,000 tons, has arrived at Amirabad port and will soon be transferred to the Mazandaran province's silos," the local official said. The Mazandaran province is in the country's north where the Amirabad port is located. Caspian region countries are Russia, Kazakhstan – which are major wheat producers – Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
