A new bar and restaurant in the Westover Gallery of Shops is offering craft burgers, large bourbon selection and a Western theme.

Boots & Bourbon opened Sept. 9 at 1310 Westover Terrace in the spot formerly occupied by a World of Beer franchise.

World of Beer closed down in June. Tony Patel of Savannah, Ga., who operated that franchise location, decided he wanted to try to something different in that space. “We wanted to get a fresh start, and just decided to completely rebrand,” said Danielle Mays, a co-owner and the general manager in the new business.

Mays previously had worked with Patel at his Savannah restaurants.

Mays, who grew up in Texas, chose a cowboy/Western theme for the new restaurant.
