Young Moroccans took to the streets for the ninth consecutive night on Sunday, calling for an end to corruption and a change of government. The rallies have been organized online by the anonymous GenZ 212 group and have spread across the country since September 27.

According to Morocco World News, a couple of hundred Moroccans gathered outside Parliament chanting slogans such as “freedom, dignity, social justice,” and statements like “the state is corrupt, you can smell corruption.” Similar demonstrations took place in Casablanca’s El Fida district and Tetouan, where citizens called for the resignation of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and the dissolution of Parliament.
