Qantas, the Australian national airline, has announced plans to resume its direct flight services connecting Delhi and Melbourne starting October 27, 2025. This marks the return of the route after its suspension in June earlier this year.
The airline will operate thrice weekly flights, continuing until March 28, 2026, using Airbus A330-200 planes equipped with both business and economy classes. This strategic move is expected to add over 1,300 seats weekly between the cities, summing up to more than 30,000 across the peak travel months.
Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace expressed enthusiasm about the relaunch, especially as it coincides with significant cricket events in Melbourne that attract Indian tourists. The airline has also expanded its operations in India, opening new offices
