Test hopeful Sam Konstas has again failed to push his case for selection ahead of the highly anticipated Ashes series opener in Perth next month.
The 20-year-old opener was dismissed for 14 runs off 15 balls in the second innings of New South Wales’ Sheffield Shield clash with Western Australia at the WACA Ground on Monday.
That followed an opening knock of just four runs for Konstas as the visitors were bowled out for 170 in bowler-friendly conditions in Perth.
Fellow Test hopeful Cam Bancroft also fell cheaply, dismissed for 10 as WA reached 161 to trail by nine runs. Another chance awaits the 32-year-old,
