The term of the 243-member Bihar state assembly ends on November 22.

14 lakh of the 7.43 crore eligible voters of the state will be exercising franchise for the first time, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said. There will be over 90,000 polling booths, he added.

Earlier on Sunday, a team of the Election Commission, led by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, on Sunday concluded its two-day tour of the state, where he received feedback from representatives of political parties and discussed poll preparedness with officials.
