A former New York City financier, Howard Rubin, 70, who once managed money for billionaire George Soros, has been arrested on serious sex trafficking charges. According to the reports, Rubin allegedly ran a years-long operation targeting women, which included former Playboy models, to engage in “commercial sexual acts." Much of the alleged activity took place in a Manhattan penthouse that prosecutors say was converted into a “sex dungeon."
According to a report in NBC News, Rubin’s former personal assistant, Jennifer Powers, 45, was also charged in the federal indictment. Prosecutors allege that the pair recruited women over a decade, from 2009 to 2019, “to engage in commercial sex acts with him involving bondage, discipline, dominance, submission and sadomasochism," known as BDSM.
