Dazzling fullback Reece Walsh was one of seven debutants named Monday in Australia's 24-man squad to face England in the first rugby league Ashes series since 2003.
World champions Australia face England in a three-match series starting at Wembley on October 25.
Fresh from starring in an NRL grand final win for the Brisbane Broncos, 23-year-old Walsh is poised to earn his first Kangaroos cap alongside rugby union convert Mark Nawaqanitawase.
"This will be one of the most anticipated Kangaroo tours in recent memory," Australian Rugby League Commission boss Peter V'landys said.
"The return of the Ashes after 22 years is not just a sporting event -- it's a celebration of rugby league's rich heritage and enduring rivalry between two countries."
