Srinagar, Oct 6: In a significant move against the rising drug menace in Jammu and Kashmir, the Kulgam Police on Monday attached the property of a notorious drug peddler under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act.

The action was taken against Cheki Badwani, a resident of Kurigam in Qazigund tehsil, who is currently lodged in Bhaderwah District Jail. Police said Badwani is a repeat offender involved in multiple drug trafficking cases, with no known legitimate source of income.
