: The Election Commission on Monday announced the schedule for the Bihar Assembly election. The polling in the state for 243 constituencies will take place in two phases on Nov 6 and 11. The Bihar Assembly election results will be announced on Nov 14.

The Election Commission’s announcement followed a two-day review of Bihar’s poll preparedness, during which Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi held extensive meetings in Patna. The discussions focused on security deployment, logistics, and enforcement measures to ensure elections that are free, fair, and free of inducements.
