Dave and Cheryl Yesavage seemed pretty calm watching their son Trey pitch in his first MLB playoff game Sunday, just his fourth start with the Blue Jays .
They were high-fiving fans’ hands, showing each other funny texts and screaming with the rest of the crowd while Trey Yesavage struck out 11 hitters in 5 1/3 no-hit innings.
“Yeah, I would say he’s pitching pretty well,” Cheryl Yesavage said, smiling ear to ear as she watched her son in the Jays’ 13-7 win in Game 2 of their American League division series.
“He’s found his groove,” Dave Yesavage said, just before his son struck out the side, including 2024 AL MVP Aaron Judge , in the fourth inning.
