South Carolina Circuit Court Judge Diane Goodstein watched her house explode while walking her dog at 11:30 in the morning on Saturday. Three members of her family including her husband, 81-year-old Arnold Goodstein, were forced to flee the home by jumping through a window, and were later hospitalized.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

Last month Goodstein blocked the Trump administration's attempt to force South Carolina to turn over voter registration data in an effort to prove that undocumented immigrants had been voting in state elections. Goodstein had reportedly been receiving death threats for weeks.

Trump advisor Stephen Miller posted on X this weekend, "There is a large and growing movement of leftwing terrorism in this country. It is well organized and funded.
