HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Family, friends and supporters of those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia gathered in Amur Plaza in Downtown Grand Island on Sunday afternoon for the annual “Walk to End Alzheimer’s.”
Hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association Nebraska Chapter, the walk gives those with a connection to the disease or just wanting to support, a chance to come together and walk for a cause.
“It’s going to take everyone coming together to end Alzheimer’s which is of course our goal,” said Sadie Hinkel, programming director for the Alzheimer’s Association Nebraska Chapter. “So we need people of all ages and it’s amazing here today to see kids and older adults and really people of all generations coming together to help us meet our goals.”
