Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday inaugurated new metro rail services on the Patna Metro Priority Corridor and took the inaugural ride along with his cabinet colleagues.
The Patna Metro Rail is a flagship project of the chief minister approved in 2019 and launched for construction in 2020. The first phase inauguration comes just ahead of the 2025 Assembly elections.

In this initial phase, operations began on a 4.3-kilometre route, connecting three stations — Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), Zero Mile, and Bhutnath.
