Poundland is set to make another wave of closures this month. Among the 12 stores set to shutter permanently will be a further two Scottish locations. ‌

The high street discounter is currently in the midst of a major restructuring plan that will see it shutter a total of 68 stores across the UK, with five in Scotland already affected. ‌

Within less than a week, the firm's site based in Livingston's The Centre will be closing down for good on Sunday, October 12, with the branch being spotted with sale advertisements in its windows. ‌

On the same day, the Poundland on Musselburgh's High Street in Edinburgh will also be permanently closing down, with a massive clearance sale also on offer for shoppers.
