PRINCETON, Ind. — Amanda Kegg and her then-husband, Michael Kegg Jr., left their cell phones at home on Dec. 31, 2024, before they set off on back roads under the cover of predawn darkness to carry out what prosecutors alleged was a double-murder plot.
According to investigators, when it was all over, the bodies of Kegg Jr.'s ex-wife and son were left alight in a burning home near Francisco, Indiana. Both had suffered fatal wounds delivered by .410 shotgun blasts, the coroner's office would later determine.
