Bobby Deol has completed 30 years in Indian cinema. The actor made his Bollywood debut in 1995 with Barsaat. The film also marked Twinkle Khanna’s debut. While Twinkle soon quit acting, Bobby Deol became quite the sensation. Now, in a recent interview, he revealed that Twinkle was not the first choice for Barsaat, and that Karisma Kapoor was offered the film first.

Bobby Deol told SCREEN, “Actually, I was supposed to start with Karisma Kapoor. But my film’s story wasn’t getting developed. The scripting was still going on. At that point, women’s careers were such that they couldn’t work for many years. That’s changed now, thankfully. So, Karisma was a little insecure, and I don’t blame her for that."
