A floating sauna and cold plunge on Okanagan Lake in downtown Kelowna would offer people a unique way to heat up then rapidly cool down.
The twin saunas would be barrel-shaped, with users looking out to the lake through big round windows. After using the sauna, people would immerse themselves in the water via a hatch in the floating structure.
“The sauna would provide seasonally (winter months) to provide wellness, recreation, and tourism services within Kelowna’s lakefront area,” reads part of a development application now under review by city planners.
