CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A shooting investigation is underway in Cape Girardeau.

According to Cape Girardeau Police, officers were called around 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, October 5, to the area of Morgan Oak and South Sprigg Streets in reference to trespassing and parking issues.

When officers were making an arrest, they reported hearing gunfire coming from the 600 block of Morgan Oak St.

Officers said they later found several shell casings and noticed that two businesses and a vehicle in the area were damaged by gunfire.

No injuries have been reported.
