SRINAGAR : A local court in Ganderbal has sentenced a man to ten years of imprisonment in a rape case, underscoring the police’s commitment to securing justice in crimes against minors. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

According to officials, the Principal and District Sessions Court Ganderbal convicted Ulfat Ahmad Magray, son of Ghulam Rasool Magray and resident of Khanan Kangan, in connection with FIR No. 24/2020 registered at Police Station Kangan. The case was filed under Sections 376 and 506 of the IPC and Section 4 of the POCSO Act.

After a detailed investigation and trial, the court found Magray guilty and sentenced him to ten years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 1,000 under the POCSO Act.
