The two men vying to lead the city of Youngstown through its first post-ARP era term will go head-to-head in a debate hosted by 21 News on Wednesday, October 16th, at 2 p.m.

The debate will run for approximately one hour and will be streamed on the 21 News app and WFMJ.com, along with the 21 News Facebook and YouTube pages and smart TV app.

Incumbent mayor Jamael Tito Brown is seeking his third term as mayor, the first to do so since term limits were eliminated by council in the early 2000s.

Brown is being challenged by political newcomer Derrick McDowell , a native of Youngstown’s south side and owner of Youngstown Flea.
