Jackson police are searching for two suspects in connection with the shooting death of a 44-year-old man on Booker Street.

Public Information Officer Tommie Brown said officers responded to a fatal shooting around 11:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 in the 3100 block of Booker Street.

Brown said at the scene, officers discovered Michael Cannon, 44, dead from several gunshot wounds.

According to police, the suspects in this case are believed to be "two unidentified Black males occupying a black Honda Accord."

No additional information was released in this ongoing investigation, as of this publication.
