PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A 26-year-old man from Bridgewater, Mass. has died from his injuries after falling 60 feet from a Providence overpass after being ejected from his motorcycle in a Sunday crash.

According to Rhode Island State Police, Cedrix Teixeira was transported to Rhode Island Hospital after being found by arriving troopers and Providence Fire Department personnel at approximately 5:36 p.m .

Responding personnel arrived at the Route 6 West scene near the Route 10 South interchange and located a black Kawasaki motorcycle on its side in the first travel lane.

The preliminary investigation determined that Teixeira had attempted to negotiate a turn and struck a high-speed barrier.
