Country singer Koe Wetzel canceled his performance at the Country Calling Festival in Maryland over the weekend, telling fans a safety issue with his aircraft prevented him from making the show.

The Texas-born artist was scheduled to perform on Sunday, the final day of the event at Ocean City Inlet Beach.

Wetzel announced the cancellation on his Instagram and Facebook pages, explaining that after trying to find another way to get to the concert, he had run out of time. Parade did not specify what type of aircraft Wetzel was using or the exact nature of the safety issue.
