2nd-degree murder charge laid after man, 30, killed near Pinehouse, Sask.

One man is dead following a shooting outside of Pinehouse, Sask., police say.

An altercation broke out among a group of people near the northern village, about 375 kilometres north of Saskatoon, at about 2 p.m. CST Friday, RCMP said in a news release.

Braydon Natomagan, 30, was shot at the scene and declared dead after being taken to a local clinic.

Police say two suspects fled the site of the shooting in a vehicle.

RCMP found the suspects' vehicle near Beauval, southwest of Pinehouse, and attempted to stop it, but said the suspects continued to drive away from police.

The vehicle eventually stopped on an off-road trail and police arrested the occupants.
