GLASTONBURY, Conn. — A helicopter landed right in the middle of the Glastonbury High School Football Field for students to see Monday.

It was flown by State Representative Steve Weir, who had a special guest in the passenger seat, their principal, Dr. Nancy Bean.

“It was very fun to see Dr. Bean come out of the helicopter. Mr. Weir said it seemed like she had flown in one before. She apparently stayed really calm, but it's very cool to watch her jump out,” Ryli Simoes, a senior at GHS, said.

Senior Jack Ennis described her entrance as legendary.

Students had the opportunity to ask Weir questions and learn a thing or two.
