Eight patients died in a devastating fire at the Trauma Centre of Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur, Rajasthan’s largest and most prestigious medical institution. The hospital, meant to save lives, turned into a site of tragedy as bodies piled up in the very place meant for healing. The cause is being linked to a short circuit in the Trauma Centre’s storeroom.
