LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Monday, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders was joined by the White House Faith Office and other partners to announce the launch of the 10:33 Initiative pilot program.

The governor made the announcement alongside the White House Faith Office, the Arkansas Department of Human Services, the Arkansas Department of Commerce, and other partners.

As for the specifics behind the 10:33 Initiative pilot program, the governor said that it's intended to "lift Arkansans out of poverty and improve their long-term self-sufficiency by connecting them with faith and community partners who can meet their immediate needs and help guide them toward a prosperous future."

The program received its name from the Parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37, according to the governor.
