An 84-year-old Hialeah man was arrested after he allegedly threatened a child with a gun, police said.

Elso Rodriguez Delrey was arrested Saturday on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm, an arrest report said. Miami-Dade Corrections

According to the report, officers responded to an apartment building at 138 W. 26th Street after receiving a report of a neighbor threatening a 12-year-old with a firearm.

A witness told investigators she was on her balcony when she saw Rodriguez "visibly upset" and knocking on an apartment door, the report said.

At one point, the witness said he pulled out a gun and said in Spanish, "When I shoot him and you have to go pick him, don't say anything," the report said.
