The kickoff time and TV assignment for what, it turns out, should be the highest-ranked opponent to visit Sanford Stadium this season is now set.

Georgia football’ s Oct. 18 game against No. 4 Ole Miss is set for a 3:30 p.m. start. The game will be shown on ABC, according to an announcement on Oct. 6.

The Rebels are 5-0 and 3-0 in the SEC heading into a Saturday home game against 32 ½-point underdog Washington State.

Alabama was outside the top 15 when it upset Georgia 24-21 on Sept. 27 in Athens.

Preseason No. 1 Texas slid all the way down to No. 19 this week. The Longhorns are 3-2 and are unlikely to climb into the top 5 even if they beat No. 6 Oklahoma and No. 20 Vanderbilt before they visit Georgia on Nov. 15.
