CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — A 25-year-old who pleaded guilty to threatening a West Virginia circuit judge and members of the judge's family has been sentenced to five years in federal prison.
Northern West Virginia Chief U.S. District District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh imposed the sentence Monday on Owen Mason Dornon. Kleeh added a three-year term of supervised release to follow the prison sentence. Kleeh also ran the federal sentence consecutive to any other time Dornon was/is serving.
Dornon pleaded guilty early this year to felony mailing threatening communications to Third Judicial Circuit Judge Timothy L. Sweeney, and members of Sweeney's family.
The Third Judicial Circuit covers Doddridge, Pleasants, Ritchie and Wirt counties.
