Kimberly Hébert Gregory , an actress known for roles on shows like “Vice Principals” and “ Craig of the Creek,” has died. She was 52.

Gregory’s ex-husband, Chester Gregory, said in an Instagram post that she died on Friday, Oct. 3 . He eulogized her as “brilliance embodied” and “a Black woman whose mind lit every room.”

Gregory starred as school principal Belinda Brown on HBO’s “Vice Principals,” which co-starred Danny McBride and Walton Goggins, for two seasons.

She also appeared in every episode of “Kevin” (Probably) Saves the World” and had guest roles on shows like “The Big Bang Theory,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Better Call Saul” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”

On the big screen, Gregory was part of the cast of the 2019 Justin Baldoni drama “Five Feet Apart.”
