An alien-like creature 'from another planet' has washed up on a beach in the United Kingdom and been identified as a rarely seen sea creature.

Georgina and Rob Pope were walking their dog , Nona, at Pakefield, Suffolk, on Sunday afternoon when they saw a sea mouse lying on the rocks.

It was around 15cm long and covered with "sharp black bristles" that were "shimmered with iridescent green, blue and gold hairs".

The couple said they were "stunned".

Dr Georgina Pope said: “It looked like something from another planet.

"It was shimmering green and glowing in the sunlight.”
